As summer is close to its end, more and more of us start thinking about our autumn and winter wardrobes. This is pretty normal as we need time to understand what exactly we want and need, and then with a few (or plenty!!!) ideas in mind go shopping to purchase all those nice clothes we will shine in.

So, dear ladies, it’s time to begin. This post will give you detailed information about styles of dresses and gowns to be most popular in the coming cold months, for Autumn-Winter 2009-2010.

Black and browns. As you know the collections for fall and winter 2009-2010 were created in those terrible times of financial crisis when everyone was afraid the downturn would affect him as well. This instability was realized in the styles and colors designers used in the garments they created.

Of course, there are a lot of blacks and browns. Not a single range was made without at least one item in black. So, black is top trendy.

Simple designs. Minimalism has always been popular. Simple cuts, simple designs and good colors – what can be better for Autumn 2009?

Little Black Dresses. There is no need to say how much LBDs are liked by both designers and fashionistas. But this season Fall/Winter 2009-2010 there were plenty of little black dresses. It means they are not only staples, they are trendy staples!

Mixed colors. Solid dresses are gorgeous but sometimes you get tired of monotony (even if it a bright one!) and want something different, something unusual.

Dresses coming in two or even more colors combined look fresh and stylish. And many designers favored such color combinations for the coming season.

Strapless gowns. A woman wearing a strapless gown that fits her perfectly looks so feminine. Probably this is the reason why designers decided to pay particular attention to this style of a dress.

During the crisis many women have to work hard and often forget about how they look. To bring back that womanly appearance nothing can be better than a strapless gown.

One-shoulder dresses. This trend has been with us for two seasons and hasn’t lost its popularity. Some dresses in this style are simple and even have a casual look, like the ones in Hermes collection. But others are purely feminine and sophisticated, a style perfect for a red carpet wear.

Maxi dresses. Angelina Jolie, Nicole Richie, Paris Hilton… I can go on and on naming celebs who love maxi dresses. I guess they somehow influenced the development of the trend.

Super short dresses, coming as a huge contrast to maxi dresses. Yes and yes, there are lots of girls who love short skirts. They should feel very excited now as designers have made lots of gorgeous short pieces!

Neon dresses. Problems have been with us throughout our life but even in the most difficult periods we want to have something that helps us forget about all what is happening around us.

A neon dress is just the option that can do that and now it is trendy!

These are the must haves for Autumn (fall) 2009
With these top trends and bright colours you're sure to look fabulous for Autumn.
